After ripping David Beckham, Landon Donovan tries to explain

After lobbing several verbal grenades at teammate David Beckham in a book to be released next week, Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan today tried to defuse a potentially explosive situation.

Beckham, who was on loan to AC Milan for the first five months of the year, returns to Los Angeles on Friday to rejoin the Galaxy. He has been strongly criticized by Donovan for his lack of commitment during the latter half of the 2008 Major League Soccer season.

Donovan did show a lack or maturity with the statement. He will learn. I'm pretty sure that Beckham could kick his arse if he felt like it.
